Day And Night Skincare Routine For Oily Skin:
I hope You all doing well,
Is your skin oily? Does your skin feel oily? Do you have acne or pills frequently? Then this article of today is perfect for you. Today’s article is a guide to how oily skin can be treated. But let’s know more about this.
Some of you have oily skin, like me. Let us see what causes oily skin. Our skin has oil glands in the dermal layer called sebaceous glands. They keep our skin moisturized and form a thin layer of oil on the skin. This is really important for the health of our skin. These sebaceous glands often get over-involved and secrete excess oil or sebum for a number of reasons. This could make your skin oily, greasy, and sticky.
This could make your skin oily, greasy, and sticky. This oiliness causes the pores to become clogged with dirt and dead skin cells, which can contribute to acne breakouts. This oiliness is seen on the forehead, on the nose, and on the jaw. It’s also called the T-zone. This is because our sebaceous or oil glands are concentrated in this area. People with oily skin appear to have more acne and pills, and their skin can look dull.
But why is this happening? Why are some people having oily skin? Your form of skin is also dependent on your genetics. If you have oily skin and a propensity to have breakouts in your household, you might also have oily skin. Skin can become oily due to hormonal fluctuations caused by puberty, pregnancy, or menstrual cycles. Apart from that, your lifestyle patterns or environmental factors may also play a role in making your skin oily. If you remain in hot and humid weather, the chances of your skin being oily can increase.
If you eat a lot of fast food or oily food, do not adopt a regular skin care regimen, do not cleanse your skin, or cleanse your skin properly, this can make your skin oily. It could make your skin shiny and a little dull. Let’s discuss some important tips that you can use to keep your skin oil-free or to regulate oil production on your skin. You should follow an oily skin regimen.
Skincare Routine Steps
Some steps need to be followed in the daily skin care routine at home. Clean your face properly. And if you clean your face, how you do it, how many times you clean, and what cleanser you use are all important considerations. You need to use an oil-free cleanser to wash your face. Cleaners containing salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, or alpha hydroxyl beta hydroxyl acid-based or hyaluronic acid-based cleaners can be used.
Tee tree oil cleaners are also a good choice. Using just lukewarm water to wash your face after applying a cleanser to your face using fingertips. Do not use very hot or very cold water. Do not use abrasive soap when washing your face. I know that many of you will use scrubs to clean your face, but doing so so frequently will strip the skin of its natural oils and render your skin dry. Cleanse your face twice a day, once in the morning and once in the night. Washing your skin too much will dry your skin and release the balancing oils that will make your skin oilier. This cycle will keep going and make your skin very oily.
Moisturize the skin
You have to consider that if you have oily skin, why do you need a moisturizer? It’s a myth that you don’t need to moisturize oily skin. You need to apply a mild moisturizer to oily skin. You’re not allowed to use hard or sticky creams and moisturizers. Lotion or hydrating moisturizers or gel creams with hyaluronic acid or aloe vera ceramides should be used. When you clean your face, the protective layer of oil is removed. Scrubbing or applying topical creams can remove the top layer of the skin

Your skin can also get dry or irritated after being cleansed or scrubbed. In this case, the skin secretes the balancing oil to minimize inflammation and dryness. This also prevents the barrier feature from being disrupted. This is called a process for biofeedback. This happens when your skin feels too dry and needs more oil. This causes the sebaceous glands to become overactive and produce balancing oil that makes the skin oily. You may have noticed that your skin may appear dry or oil-free for a few hours after washing but begins to look oily again. That’s why you can use an oil-free and non-comedogenic moisturizer after you clean your face.
This helps to offset the loss of moisture and hydration during the cleaning process and prevents the release of the balancing oil. These moisturizers also help to preserve water or hydration in the skin. If required, you can add a moisturizer to your face two or three times a day. Bear in mind that you’re not going to over-moisturize your face.
This tip is especially for people who use toner on the skin. Ideally, moisturizers are enough to keep the skin balanced. People with oily skin, however, often use toners. Routine toners contain alcohol that is astringent and extracts oil from your skin. But toner can also make the skin very dry. If you have acne-prone skin, do not use a toner in places that are prone to acne. If you need to use toners, make sure they are free of alcohol.
We know that many of you ignore sunscreen and don’t use it regularly or frequently. The key role of sunscreen is to shield your fragile skin from the ultraviolet A and B rays of the sun. There are sunscreens for any form of skin on the market. You may use sunscreens based on lotion or gel, matt sunscreens, mineral sunscreens, and even water-based sunscreens for oily skin. Apply the sunscreen 15-20 minutes before leaving the building. Your sunscreen should have a broad SPF 30 range.
Do you clean or exfoliate your skin to get rid of oiliness or grease? Excessive squeezing may cause your skin to become even more oily, as it will cause your skin to feel that the required amount of oil is not present either. I’m not implying you’re not allowed to exfoliate. In fact, once every 8-10 days, gently exfoliate your skin to remove dead skin cells and maintain the overall health of your skin. But daily or regular exfoliation can make your skin oilier.
Using oil-free and non-comedogenic makeup items. Always wash your makeup thoroughly before you sleep. Using some gentle cleaning lotion to fully remove the makeup. Stop using wet wipes to remove your makeup as they have alcohol or astringent to make your skin dry. This causes the skin to overcompensate and become more oily.
It can be a lot more complicated than it sounds to figure out the right skincare routine for yourself, and it can take months, even years, to actually find one that works best for you!
Use the items that suit your skin type. You should also use oil-free, non-comedogenic, water-based, or gel-based products for oily skin.
